Conservation

In 2007 we purchased 60 acres of agricultural land on which to site an Art Centre and associated workshops. Located in the foothills of the Mountains of the Moon, the land slopes down to the river Sebwe which takes its source from high in the Rwenzoris. Almost twenty years on and with the acquisition of a further 20 acres, this previously degraded land has been transformed by the restoration of native tree and plant species and the consequent return of an incredible range of wildlife, so much so that the Uganda Wildlife Authority are considering us as a potential site for the reintroduction of vulnerable species.
